Digital Minimalism

"Smartphone addiction is dangerous to mental health" will be written in every smartphone box soon. We don't want this to happen and so a new concept comes in which is called Digital Minimalism.

So, when are you going to put a full stop to this madness and redesign your life? The time is now.

To use digital technology effectively we should understand digital minimalism and its principles. By hook or by cook, we have to decrease digital tools addiction. Our goal must be to consume content to the limit it is necessary for us.

Every time you check your smartphone there must be a purpose. Make a habit of keeping aside your smartphone immediately once your purpose of picking is done. This is called intentional use and this is where you are not distracted at all.
Most of us are using smartphones for emotional satisfaction. Pause a little and think over it. But we should use it for learning genuine things and for doing creative works. This way only our productivity increases.

You’ll consider a fixed time every day when you will keep your smartphone silent or aside. Whenever you are with family and friends you will not use the smartphone. Try to keep your smartphone at home wherever you go for a walk or to the gym. This is called digital detoxification.

Every weekend, you should delete unnecessary apps, images or videos. During breakfast, lunch or dinner time, the smartphone shouldn't be near you. The websites which you can see on your laptop, uninstall them on your smartphone.

The most important thing is to remain active in meaningful WhatsApp groups only. Don’t waste time in stupid fights or illogical discussions on social media platforms.
So, from now onwards, you’ll use the internet only to increase your knowledge or produce creative work. This way you can invest more time in relations as well as increase your productivity.
